“Professional meter installation is not just field work. It is a promise of accuracy, safety, accountability, and trust, delivered one customer, one asset, and one data record at a time.” – MJ Martin
A Canadian Metering Partner with Deep Experience
Metercor is a Canadian metering services company with nearly three decades of experience delivering professional meter installation programs for water, gas, and electricity utilities. For 28 years, Metercor has supported municipalities, utilities, and energy providers with practical field execution, disciplined project management, and trusted customer-facing service. The company’s history is rooted in utility metering, where accuracy, safety, accountability, and customer confidence are essential to every successful deployment.
Metercor’s experience extends across Canada and across multiple metering technologies. Whether the assignment involves residential water meter exchanges, gas meter modernization, electric meter deployment, AMR upgrades, AMI installations, or full lifecycle field support, Metercor brings proven capability to the work. This broad experience allows the company to understand not only the technical requirements of meter installation, but also the operational realities faced by utilities, customers, contractors, regulators, and municipal staff.
Industry Leading Project Management and Field Execution
Metercor delivers its programs through a disciplined Project Management Office supported by qualified project managers and a structured PMI-based methodology. This approach gives customers confidence that work will be planned, scheduled, monitored, documented, and reported with rigour. Large-scale meter programs involve thousands of individual customer interactions, field visits, equipment movements, data records, exceptions, and quality checks. Metercor’s PMO brings order to this complexity.
The company uses a lean management structure that keeps decision-making efficient and accountability clear. Customers know who is responsible, how issues are escalated, and how progress is measured. This reduces delay, avoids confusion, and supports timely execution. Metercor does not simply supply labour. It manages outcomes.
Safety, Insurance, and Risk Management
Metercor’s field delivery model is supported by strong safety and risk management practices. The company maintains COR certification, demonstrating a structured commitment to occupational health and safety, hazard control, incident prevention, and continuous improvement. This matters in utility work, where installers may be entering homes, working around mechanical systems, operating near traffic, managing tools and materials, and interacting directly with the public.
Metercor is fully insured, giving customers confidence that its field operations are backed by appropriate commercial coverage. Bonding insurance is also available where required by procurement documents, contract terms, or customer risk policies. These protections help utilities and municipalities reduce project risk while working with a professional contractor that understands public accountability.
Workforce Management Built for Utility Programs
A core advantage of Metercor’s delivery model is its workforce management platform based on Ensight+. This system supports appointment scheduling, installer dispatch, field data capture, workflow control, progress tracking, quality review, and project reporting. It is integrated with Metercor’s enterprise systems, including ERP, customer information, analytics, and reporting environments.
Through reporting tools, including Power BI dashboards, Metercor can provide customers with clear operational visibility. Managers can track installation progress, productivity, exceptions, inventory, field performance, and project trends. This data-driven approach allows the company and its customers to identify issues early, make informed decisions, and maintain control of the deployment.
Skilled Installers and Trusted Performance
Metercor’s installers are among the best in the industry. They are staff members, not temporary workers assembled for short-term projects. This distinction matters. Experienced employees bring better judgement, stronger safety habits, deeper technical knowledge, and more consistent customer service. They understand how to work in homes, businesses, mechanical rooms, meter pits, utility spaces, and outdoor service locations with professionalism and care.
Metercor equips its installers with the required tools, training, vehicles, and field systems needed to perform work efficiently and effectively. In 2025, the company invested in a new fleet of work trucks to improve dependability and field productivity. Fleet tracking supports workflow audits, safety review, route management, and operational accountability.
Local Presence with Canada-Wide Reach
Metercor provides Canada-wide services while maintaining a practical local delivery model. Warehouses are located in the marketplace to support inventory control, staging, logistics, and rapid response. Local installers are sourced wherever possible to reduce cost, improve community familiarity, and support regional execution. This combination of national capability and local presence allows Metercor to scale programs while remaining responsive to each customer’s needs.
Secure, Accountable, End-to-End Service
Metercor is different because it takes responsibility for the complete delivery experience. Its end-to-end solutions protect customers by combining planning, communications, scheduling, installation, data capture, quality assurance, reporting, safety management, insurance coverage, and closeout into one accountable service model. Customer data is protected through Canadian data practices and domestic data centres, supporting privacy, security, and confidence.
Metercor’s value is built on trust, accuracy, safety, and accountability. The company understands that every meter installation represents a customer interaction, a data record, a safety responsibility, and a utility asset. With decades of experience, skilled staff, modern systems, strong project controls, COR certification, full insurance coverage, and Canadian service values, Metercor delivers professional meter installation services that are timely, secure, accurate, and personalized.
