The annual UTC (Utility Technology Council) Canada conference will be held in Toronto, Canada from September 20th to 22nd at the Hyatt Regency Toronto.

Most Utility staff is well aware of Cloud Computing, but have you considered Mist Computing yet? The Internet of Things (IoT) and all of its new jargon is here in force. Understanding the networks is important, but deriving knowledge and making sense of the data is critical. IoT has many new attributes including federated networks that support mission critical applications like FLISR, DER and much more. It even extends beyond the classic grid to smarter city features.   Utilities are now embracing these applications for new revenue growth strategies. This session addresses the innovative ways that Utilities can use IoT networks to their advantage.
